This is a scene from a video depicting a fake President Trump massacring the news media and his critics that was shown at a conference for his supporters at Trump National Doral Miami last week.
And here is a link to a video showing our President performing his interpretation of a sexual phone text between two former FBI agents before a crowd of his supporters at one of his regular “Hate” rallies that he holds across the nation.
I enter these two items into evidence of our nation’s finally “Jumping the Shark” which is TV parlance for a television show that ” was once popular, but no longer warrants the attention it previously received, and so makes an attempt at publicity, which only serves to highlight its irrelevance.”
If you have clinked the link above, then you have watched the clip and have seen our President, The President of the United States, The holder of the most powerful and influential political position in the history of the world, cavorting and performing a sexual rendition of FBI agents in love before an adoring crowd of followers who simply can’t get enough of their POTUS behaving in such a manner.
Why do his ardent followers love this President so much even though he exhibits all of the personal speech, behavioral habits and faults that would force any respectable local board of education to run a first grader out of public school and into a private special education program?
Is it because our President reminds them of every avid American television junky’s favorite TV characters of the past two decades every time he appears before them? Has he not become the living embodiment of the likes of Tony Soprano, Dexter Morgan, Walter White, and Triumph the Insult Comic Dog all rolled into one character, larger than life and appearing on our television sets each and every morning, afternoon and evening?
And those characters that I just mentioned are all much beloved…even though they each display traits and personality disorders that would otherwise make them societal outcasts…but on television they appear as more than likable! They are lovable!
So much so, that even their creators, writers of fiction, can not explain why that is so. People just seem to like them…nay, love them…and even more so when they appear as characters… on television.
A veritable 40% of Americans just can’t get enough of our President Trump. They even wait on long lines, pay real hard earned money and then hoot and holler and chant along when they finally get to see him repeat his most famous lines on stage and in person.
And even when Our President of the United States is particularly crude, like suggesting some American should be locked up or other Americans should be sent back to the countries they came from or a particular American in the audience should be body slammed or suggesting that a former American Congressman now lives in Hell…
His adoring fans applaud, laugh, and cheer!
Rather than stand aghast at such outrageous and insulting blatherings from their “President of the United States of America” they behave as though none of it is real. As though they are all just taking part in the audience of their favorite television show, starring their favorite television performer. Will there be a gift bag?
And just like a television star, (rather than the President of the United States?) President Trump spends most days involved with toiletries, doing his hair and putting on his make-up, tweeting to his multitude of fans, chatting with television talk show hosts, making public appearances at adoring fan rallies, golfing with friends and flying around in his personal jet (in this case, Air Force One)
When does our POTUS find time to rehearse? Let alone work? Does anyone care? Does anyone watch this show anymore? And more importantly, now that it has “Jumped the Shark” what is going to replace the America and the American Presidency once it is finally cancelled… and replaced?
