#4: The Top Ten Rules That Children Learn in School That May Handicap Their Future: #4

19 Nov

If you’re a parent or adult or teacher or perhaps all three. then you have probably already realized what it is that will wear kids out, and their chance for a bright and happy future,  faster than just simply growing older, just like it has most probably worn you out. The rules! And the fact that in adulthood where kids are going and where you’ve been, there are no rules.

The 4th rule that children learn in school that may handicap their future…

4Share. Share or suggest sharing in the adult world and you’ll quickly be shunned as a socialist or labeled non-assertive and someone with no business sense. The child who takes all of the blocks or crayons for his own use during his first day of kindergarten is chastised and admonished for his inability to share with others and is then reminded that all of the children need to use the blocks and crayons and that is why he can’t have them all for himself. That would be selfish… but once little Johnny grows up to be an adult he can have all of the blocks or buildings or money or resources that he wants while others go without anything and that’s fine with everyone else because that’s called being wealthy. And wealth means being rich while others are poor, being over fed while others go hungry, having many homes while many are homeless. It means having more than you need and NOT sharing. When you are an adult you CAN have all of the blocks even if that means not letting anyone else have any…and more often than not others will love, respect and fawn over you for this behavior not shun you like they were taught to do in Kindergarten.

Rule #5?…To be continued…
