Spot on.
#3 and #10–bravo!
Loved it – I do not feel such a social outcast and pariah for my perspectives, now…
I hope it gets a lot of views and a wealth of pondering goes on over the points made in this article – – thank you for finding and sharing.
Reblogged this on The Good, Bad and Ludicrous and commented:
I appreciate the blogging world, because it allows me to read, comment and connect with those from other countries, to gain a better perspective and see into the daily life, passions and concerns of those in other cultures – but most of all, it helps me to see my own blind spots –
I am an American, though I was not born in the US and had my education till college outside the US. I can totally relate to this post. But, like the alcoholic brother you love despite his annoying flaws, I love America.(btw, I do have an alcoholic brother who is likely going to drink himself to ruin)
I’m glad you like “In search of unusual destinations”. Don’t be surprised if posts from the USA dominate the agenda for the next month! As for your blog: I’m enthralled. Your analysis of all things American is very interesting and, in my estimation at least, often all too accurate. Keep up the good work. Phil.
